When I was younger, I used to be a ballerina. Back when I was still involved in ballet, my instructor always wore her hair tied back by a headband or wrap and chunky sweaters, thus, the head scarf and turtleneck. The skirt, which I found at a vintage shop, cleverly mixes the classicism of an A-line silhouette with the trendiness of a peekaboo cutout. The clutch, while ironically similar to a recent cross-body from Celine, is actually my mother's from thirty years ago. (I firmly believe that there is nothing wrong with raiding my mother's closet- though she may say otherwise...) Though the idea of walking out of the house wearing a space-ballerina skirt may seem a bit too outlandish for some, the knit turtle neck and menswear flats add wearable neutrality to the whole look.
I've been considering upping our music content on the site. This would mean including new acts I've found and potentially song or album reviews. Thoughts?
Dancers: Yes, I know. I need to work on my turn out. :)
