Thanksgiving is my favorite time of year! It's the build up to Christmas and the onslaught of holiday spirit that gets me every time. Plus, now's the time to whip out those sinfully comfortable sweaters and crank the heater up to maximum capacity (just kidding, I live in Los Angeles. Winter is a myth that only Midwesterners and New Englanders believe in.) It's also the time to break out fall colors (like the fawn blazer above) in full force:
While many may argue against the idea of a navy and black pairing, using a fawn colored tie in piece easily transitions the two hues. The use of a blazer over a turtleneck elicits some very strong seventies vibes and adds a great twist to a fall staple. Plus, going back to a previous comment on menswear ensembles, adding dress shoes and androgynous glasses gives the look a masculine feeling. As for the shorts? Well, I'm just a California girl still trying to make leather shorts work.
